Slight problems with new car....

I have a 91 eagle talon auto 2.0L DOHC...
When you are slowing down, there is a slight vibration in the steering wheel... I was thinking maybe bad wheel bearings or something along those lines...

also....

at idle, it isn't that great... I do have larger cams, but it's kinda bad...
at idle it actually almost shuts off.... my friend who I bought the car from says that it is just an Idle sensor which is like $50 at the auto parts store.... could this be it??? when you get up to speed, it runs great... just at idle, it surges and jerks.... (In drive).... I have to shift to Neutral when I am stopped at a light just to keep it running....
WHAT COULD THIS BE???? it also revs EXCELLENTLY!!!! it'll hit 5 and 6 grand with no prob...

Yes, check the ISC to make sure it hasn't gone out on you. Sounds like that could be it.

When you mean slowing down are you on the brakes? Maybe the rotors are warpe
