wtfreak, axle seals? man i need help here

heres the scoop. i was under the car changing the oil and i notice ALOT of somethign and we finally diecided that it was gear oil(great). so i take it to the place i always go to. they tell me the axle seals are bad, the cluthmaster cylinder and slave are bad. but i looked at them and i couldnt see anythign frm the cylinders only looks like the axle part.

so basically im asking wtf that mean and how hard to replace.

Clutch cylenders are pretty simple.

unhook lines, take out bolts/nuts, put on new cylender, replace lines and bolts and nuts, then bleed system.

also, the master cylender, you have to disconnect the rod under the dash.


axle seals,
you have to pull the axle,
which is time consuming and a pita

if the fluid in the master cylender is black colored, that means the seals have went to shit. you could but a rebuild kit for 25 bucks, or replace it for 50

the shops here charge 80$ per axle to replace a seal.
