when idling it stalls

My friend has a 1g talon and it dies while idleing at stop lights or whenever stoped. what could be wrong and is there anything to try before taking it to a mechanic?

Sounds like a bad ISC servo. Check the resistances between the two center pins of the ISC connector and the two pins on each side. Should be about 28-31 ohms. If one or these four resistances is quite high, the ISC is bad. Other things might cause this but a bad ISC is probably the most common cause.

see if he was trying to be cool by disconnecting the recirculation tube for the BOV to the intake.
