I installed the gauge tonight and only one light lights up under the rich side. I have the autometer ultralight gauge. IT has three wires, one for ground one for power and a purple one which i hooked up to the ECU. Anyone know why i am only getting one bar to light up under rich? Thanks in advace for help.
 
I would guess that you either chose the wrong wire when connecting it to the ecu (but i'm sure you probably already checked that), or you need to replace your o2 sensor.
 
Just read this in another thread if you want to check the o2 sensor....

"A nice easy check is to unplug the sensor and use a multimeter to check for continuity between terminals 3 & 4.

If you are using a datalogger, check to see what you Fuel trims are doing. This will be the sure giveaway if the front O2 sensor shit the bed."

the first time i hooked it up i hooked it up wrong, i hooked it up on the throttle position switch, so basically i was either lean or rich.... rich when i was on the gas, lean when my foot came off.. then i looked at the ecu diagram again, and noticed i had to use the other wire opposite of where i originally plugged it in..

make sure to check if you have the right plug and tapped the right wire.. i don't think anything bad can happen, except you get a wrong reading on your a/f ratio gauge..
 
there are three white wires....and according to rre website we tap the middle one for the o2 sensor. I will triple check to make sure it is the one i tapped but i still find it strange that i only get one bar to light up.
 
The same thing happened to me. I had all the wires connected correctlly but the problem was that i used those plastic wire taps and the tap wasnt makeing a good conection with the o2 wire so i soldered all the connections and worked perfectly

you are the man....worked like a charm after i attached the wires to each other directly.:thumb:
