Trunk or hatch question about shut switch

tried to search this but could not find any leads. Where is the trunk shut switch located at? I changed the hatch trunk lid due to hole from low stock wing and the light has stayed on since. The trunk courtesy light went out but the door ajar warning in the driver console is still on. It drained my battery once already and I need to fix this. I looked around the hatch while its open and cant find any button like the ones on the bottom of the doors. Do I need to look into the part where the hatch locks in? You know, the middle unit where the hook goes into? any help would be appreciated.

on the side note, does anybody's car engine whistle? You can barely hear it in the passenger compartment but when you pop the hood its very noticeable. This might be normal but I would like to minimize it if possible. thanks for looking.

Yes.

Look for a vacuum leak, or a split hose.

The switch is held on by 2 shitty rivets, and the rivets tend to come out, at least in my car they have.
