Hey my 99 GSX is about to arrive here in Houston and im planning several things for the first day i get it and was wondering if anyone had the schematics for the all the piping, the compressor, condensor and accumulator for removal, they arent in any book cause its illegal to work on A/Cs without a liscence. Thanks.

Unless its track-only, don't bother removing the AC unless you ever have the engine bay easily accessible. Trust me.

its not a question of whether i want to bother, i want to, for weight reduction reasons, i never use it, its dead weight to me. and every ounce counts.

I don't have drawings of what you are attempting. It should be pretty straight forward.

The rational/spirit of the law is to prevent shade tree mechanics from freon polution, if you are environment conscious you could take it to a place where they can evacuate the system. They harvest the freon for recycle and may charge you for the service.

The worst will be the evaporator which you could leave for last. Tape, cap, reattach fittings to keep the dirt out. If you are sure you will never need them then classifieds here and then eBay.

Cheers,
GTM
