1G Bad idle

Im a newbie with engines so forgive me if my explaination of my trouble are confusing. Ok well engine on and in park, the car idles very high between 1500 and 2500. On drive, or reverse it idles at 1000 rpm plus or minus 100. One deceleration and on about 2nd gear im guessing, the car kinda sputters or bucks until it goes into first gear or slows down and that is the only gear it does that on. Other than that the car runs good. When the ac is turned on the idle compensates so i dont think it is the ics. Any advice or help ne one can give me would be greatly appreciated. I have a 1990 plymouth laser rs 2.0l automatic. Thanks

\thanks for your help sorry for responding so late... I tried checking the ics but i get no numbers for some reason.... i get voltage from the harness but i dont seem to get ne resistance from any of the pins.. any help would be greatly appreciated.. thanks..
