No power

One of my boys has a 97 gst and for some reason he is getting little power after 4000 rpms.

MODS that i know
warlboro 255lph

manual boost controller(10psi)

I cant figure it out...im thinking boost leak or clutch....from what he is told he needs a bigger turbo....and im thinking bs ...Any ideas ?

Too much fuel. Runing rich.

Yea now that i think about it he does backfire time to time.So he would need air/ fuel control to sort this out or bigger turbo?

Is it 255lph Walbro regular or high-pressure unit?

That I dont know for now but ill find out,Im pretty sure it is regular....He does have an air/fuel gauge installed so Im gonna have to talk to him to see what the reading is....thnx for the help so far...Ill keep u posted
