You need to line up the marks using a straight edge. You are close, now get it perfect :thumb:

Looks like you are off by one tooth on both gears. Take a
straight edge and place it across the cam gears. It also has
marks on the outer edges. All the marks need to line up
and the straight edge will run right in the center of your
cam gear bolts. Based on what I can see from the pics.
you need to move the intake cam counter clock wise, and
the exhaust cam clock wise by about 1 notch.

ok The intake cams dowel pin is perfectly straight up but the exhaust dowl pin i cant get to go straight up its leaning a little to the left and when i try to move it a few notches so its straight up and everything is aligned it just rolls back

You can not just go by the dowel pins. There are notches on the cam sprockets which must be lined up with the top of the cylinder head. You need to use a straight edge such as a ruler to help you line them up.

When you line up the marks it is normal for the sprockets to not "sit and stay" so that they are exactly lined up....they roll back jus like you said. What you need to do is get two wrenches and put one on each sprocket and use those to get the marks lined up exactly where they are supposed to be. Hold it there and set the new timing belt over the sprockets and clip it in place with one clip on each sprocket. This will hold it in the correct position until you get the belt tensioned.

Read the vfaq man, it will go into more detail and even has pics on how to do all this and more.
