boost leak?

when i first got my car, when it boosted i would be pushed against my seat and the boost gauge would go straight to 20psi but now it feels as if ive lost power when im at full throttle and the needle hesitates btwn 15 and 20 psi....if i stay on it longer it than reads 20psi. i dont know whats wrong. any ideas anyone? thanks for the help

how do you know it is at 20 psi? If its the stock turbo, its probly dying, boosting that much.

oh... in that case, updating your profile would be helpful. In any case, purhaps check your turbo for shaftplay anyways...

alryte i checked my turbo and it spins freely and i dont have any play,i wanted to check for boost leaks so i went to buy parts to make an intake leak tester and cannot find tubing ANYWHERE that'll fit on my big 16g, ive tried sears hardware, autozone, home depot, lowes, EVERYWHERE! im looking for 2 3/4" piping and a 2 1/2" inch cap any ideas anyone?
