Head Lights

I've been having a problem when I switch off the hi-beams the headlights go out completely. If I click the stalk from low to hi and back they eventually come back on at low. Nov problem when on hi. Dash lights and parking lights always stay on during this problem. Anyone have this problem? I already switched the relay under the hood with another one thinking this was it. No dice.

It would seem kind of odd that both headlights would go bad at once. I'm going to try and clean the contacts on the dimmer assy. There's a procedure in the factory manual for checking the oper. of the dimmer, I'll have to check that. It's an intermittent problem.

True, but it's not odd that you don't realize one's out until the second one goes.
If it's your headlight switch, they're common on eBay.

I ended up removing the headlight switch assy. from the steering column and cleaning the contact points with aerosol contact cleaner and it seems to be working ok now.
