Turbo question

OK here is my question...I recently bought another Taon after selling my 90 AWD...I miss her. But I was looking at the turbo in my new talon and messing with it a little bit and I noticed that it was a little loose...it looked as if was coming apart. It runs fine now but Im wondering what could cause it to do something like that?

What do you mean by coming loose? Do you know how to check your turbo to tell if its good or not? Its not that hard if you dont let me know and I can explain

I have pretty good knowledge of turbos...ok here is what it is, t looks like it it coming apart and I never had this problem with my first talon but it looks as if though the person I bought it from tried to take it apart. If you guys have any ideas let me know so I can get back to driving my baby she is so neglected right now.....

Exactly,
where is the turbo loose?
at the o2 housing, the exhuast manny, the turbo itself comming apart?

have you checked the shaft play?

Where exactly does it look like its "coming apart"...

If you can just tell us where according to that pic even tho its a big-t-28 but the housing is exactly the same on the outside.


Where did they try to take it apart?
Can you reach into the blades and physically MOVE IT? (shaftplay)
Does it move in and out or left to right? (if any)

I have seen a few J- pipes come loose off the top of the turbo. Just take a 12mm (or 14mm, I forget) and tighten it if this is the case.
