I dont know if anyone has have this prob. I know I do and a friend of mine does...When I take off and I make the shift between 1st to 2nd like it will feel for like a second that my car aint goin nowhere its kind of hard to explain but almost like if the car slows down then itll pick again... I think its because I have an HKS SSQV and its vented with no MAF or anythin of such...my friend that has this same prob also vents no MAF with an SSQV. Is that my prob? Or something else? And will a MAF and MAFT fix this? Thanks for help.

Your problem is exactly what you think it is. Get a recirculation kit for that SSQV.

Ok...I thought it was it thanks for the help, but not to say that your wrong or anything I jus want to get more opinions see if there could be anything wrong as well. I did jus buy a 3" GM MAF for $50 bucks yesterday should come in sometime this week, then I am going to get the MAFT so that should take care of my hopefully, but any other opinions would be great. Thanks

Venting is it. More properly, the massive, unmetered vacuum leak is the problem. When there's vacuum, the BOV is open. Every time you shift or let up, that BOV vacuums all the dust out of your engine bay. Keeps things nice and tidy that way. Well, okay, other than the rings, valve guides, throttle plate and throttle shaft, valve seats, and all the other stuff your air filter was put on to protect. But at least it sound cool.

I hear you. I go tthe same problem with mine on my 1g. Does anyone know if that recirculation kit will fit on a 1g? Also how is the fitting on the bov connected? I only see kits for the 2g? Also with the SSQV reciculated can you even hear it anymore?

Yes you can, I have a 2G MAS (soon to be GM, draw thru) and everyone is amazed at how loud my turbo is. It sounds almost like venting....but not the same  . Either way, I would much rather not hear the turbo at all than to have drivabilty problems. Im sure the recirculation kit will work for both a 1G and 2G, as I have seen them on both, you just might have to get a different dump tube.

Check out these sites. They would have answered your problem diagnosis faster than having someone post you the answers: GL guys!
