Ok, how hard is it to replace a turbo.

i fixed a bunch of boost leaks, went for a drive, and someting from the intake pipe, or maf, who knows, but it hit 12 psi then a high pitched whine, and then loss of boost. black chopped up shit around the trubo blades and the blades are bent and scarred

should i replace the intercooler too?

godd i have my luck.

It is not hard at all to replace a turbo. Just remember, if you go larger, have the supporting mods to run it.

takes about an hour to 1.5 hours to pull a turbo, not really too difficult, and then about the same to re-install.

ok cool, what about porting?
should i port it out since ill have it off.

Port the exhaust housing, manifold, look into an aftermarket 02 housing, for the best flow..

turbos arent hard to do, if you've done then a few times. and apparently he hasnt done them... so its gonna be a pain for you. fair warning! good luck! :thumb:

i think ill just put iton, LOL, save time, and difficulty, and i want my car back

Got my other turbo on, and guess what,
it looks brand new, it was on the engine i replaced with my jdm one, it looked nasty, and i was sorry to have to use it, but it cleaned up perfect, had a coating of thick hard dead oil all over, and once clean it has a brilliant smooth silver housing. no shaft play atall, havent got to test it out yet,

inside the o2 housing and junk, looked smooth, and not rough and grainy like the previous setup.

the previous owner said he rebuilt the engire motor and got a new turbo, and then the head gasket blew, looks like he was telling the truth.

cant have more than 1200 miles on the trubo,
