Gauge reads boost, but none is felt

Just got my car back from the shop and the boost reads on both the stock and autometer gauge but no boost is felt. Just smells really bad and makes a lot of white/grey smoke. Most of the smoke comes from the exhaust while driving, or kind of where the downpipe meets the turbo. The shop tested for leaks and said it was fine. Head gasket was fine as well. Anyone have this happen before?!?

also, EGT Temps jump to >1600F by the time I get to 5k RPM so I stop accelerating only to see a bunch of smoke. Damn dsms..

It builds 10psi and then I can still hear the BOV when I shift. So I am guessing it is not a bad BOV. I have a boost controller hooked up and I checked for loose hoses, but found none. If you need any more info to diagnose this problem let me know, I'll post more.

White smoke denotes burned coolant. What condition is your turbo in?

According to my mechanic, there was a sensor loose and leaking oil. He didn't tell me exactly everything he did, but it's fixed now. Boosts up fine and no smoke. Woo Hoo. Thanks for the help though..
