hey everyone, once again iam back here for some help. This time its very annoying. My new problem is the car falls right on its face when i try to accelerate and the turbo starts spooling up. when its in nuetral it rev's perfect and when iam driving under 2.5k everything works fine. but when i try to accelerate it just starts to stutter and not go anywhere. I checked for boost leaks and didnt find any. what do you guys think it might be?


Iam sorry for asking these newbie questions but its my first dsm and iam 16 and have to pretty much do everything to my car by myself. even tho my dad owns a shop but never has time to help. All the stuff i did to my car was by me. I am used to little hondas with 1.6 motors and have done plenty of rebuilds and swaps, but I am in love with My talon.

no i didnt change anything just suddenly started doing it when i was getting on the freeway the other day
 
change plugs, and wires, and put some fuel cleaner in your gas tank. posssibly the Fuel pump?
 
holy shit, you can rebuild/swap a motor but you cant handle a simple stuttering problem??

no offence taken. just sometimes i get pissed at the car cuz it is like the 3rd time it is doing this to me and each time its a different reason.Its also my first turbo dsm that iam actually working on. thanks for the help guys gonna go get some NGK plugs and probably Bosch wires and a new fuel filter. ill tell if it works
 
hmm if its the coil do u guys know if theres a diffrence between the turbo and the non turbo coils cuz i got like 4 non turbo 4g63's motors i jack bolts and nuts off.:)
 
Actually Im not sure, but people sell them used all the time for cheap.

You might hold them up side by side to see if there is a visual difference.

The n/t 4g63 is almost the same motor as the 4g63t motor, so it may be the same, but I couldnt tell you for sure.
 
alright sorry to bring the old post back up, but my problem is still there. changed everything you guys suggested. got my datalogger hooked up and my knock count goes ballistic. I mean 43 counts at 2k rpm. also the logger shows -59.6 C water temp and -28.6 C egr temp. Very weird and have no clue what i should do. what do you guys think?
 
actually today i swapped mine with my friends. did the same thing. except the knock count was at like 4 when the motor was cold but then when it warmed up it went crazy
