I just got my car back from by brother and noticed the oil was black
After changing the oil ( 10w30 ) and air&oil filter I am noticing white smoke maybe a little blue from the hood and a cloud of smoke behind me when i leave a light. The car also stutters in 2nd and 3rd had been dying at lights and running hot sometimes wile warming up then goes normal. theres 125k miles.
what should I do to fix it?

Blue smoke? Sounds like it is running lean, considering your car is stock, I would replace the fuel filter, and run an injector cleaner. You might also think about having your injectors treated by a shop that can do it.

if there is sum white smoke ur car could also have a blow head gasket...but since its not alot of smoke ur prolly just starting one...the blue smoke could also mean its running rich...u could also check that by taking all the spark plug wires start the car....roll it over a few times and then take the spark plugs out to see how wet they are with gas....also if there is blue smoke you could have blown piston rings....

White smoke is usually from water or anti- freeze, blown head gasket or a warped head. Blue smoke is a sign of oil burning, that could be piston rings, or if it just does it at start up your valve seals are probably shot.

Thanks for the response.
If it is the piston rings, would new plugs wires f filter make it worse, Is there somthing I can fix myself, maybe get a diagnostic test ran
what should I spend money on ?
also the coolant level doesnt seem to be changing, and the oil is starting to burn and small valve cover leak

those parts won't hurt it but, they won't help the situation either. Get a compression check done, and a leak down test would be a good idea to. if you find the rings to be shot the only way to fix it is a complete rebuild. and while you're rebuilding you might as well hop it up a bit.
