Check engine light

I have a hi-flo cat on my 98gsx.....and aparently its letting too much crap thru because my check engine light keeps coming on....the guy at the shop says the code is because my cat is inefficiant according to the o2 sensors? Can I just unplug these sensors or will that mess up the pcu? and if so.....what can I do?

I know you can't get rid of the down stream o2 without adding something to compensate for the missing data that the computer needs to run correctly. I am sure someone here can give an idea twards that short of running a full stand alone.

take the 2nd o2 out of the exhaust stream 9 tin foil over the end )

Since you're in PA, don't forget...EMISSIONS TESTING is coming...

You can bypass the o2 sensor after the cat.
Or maybe the sensor is bad?
