I recently bought that curved 1G turbo intake pipe off of machv.

On the stock intake pipe, I notice there are three hoses connected to it.

I one is connected to the BOV for air recirculation, and the other is disconnected from the valve cover, then replaced with some kind of breather.

But I don't know what to do with the third one. The hose I'm talking about is the one that goes right under the battery tray. I had trouble taking the batter tray off to get a better picture to what it connects to.

Am I suppose to just disconnect that hose and disregard? Sounds kinda foolish, but I'm not sure.

Any recommendations on what to use when capping it off?

Sorry if the question is kinda trivial, but I need to make sure before I decide to drive around with electric tape on that tube.

Thanks by the way.

I caped it off with a breather filter and it fits perfectly. I install a oil catch can for the VC hose so I won't get oil all over.:thumb:

Thanks for the replies everybody.

I've read around on removing vacuum lines for 1G's, and turns out that particular line connects to something called the charcoal canister, and really doesn't need to be connected.

I don't know about the 1g but I know the 2g has the dump tube (the hose that recirculated the bov the big one) then there's two nipples on one side of the pipe. One of those nipples goes to the charcoal canister, and the other one goes to the valve cover.

I have the dejontool intake pipe and it didn't come with those nipples at all just came with the dump tube. I installed the pipe, let the charcoal canister hose vent, and capped and ziptied the MBC hose (the one all by itself). I ran the car and it was idling really low and was a little erratic . I got home and had my dad drill two holes for the charcoal canister and the MBC hose, the valve cover I just put a breather filter I bought from pepboys that same day (APC!! yeah!) I feel cheap for buying it but at least it doesn't say APC on it anywhere. I've had it on for a month and ever sice putting the hoses on, I haven't had any problems with it, it's just the BOV is quieter since the dump tube doesn't stick halfway into the intake pipe...as the turbo spools up, you can hear the filter sucking in a lot of air.
