my car studders a bit in second gear when i give it more gas then usual.
and its a bit laggy in 3rd. its all stock, don't know what it could be. i switched my k&n filter last night, and cleaned it, and put it back in, but i have yet to see if that will make a difference. I highly doubt it, but that was all i could think of.

thanks

ok its not my filter. anyone know what this could be? its jerky in second, and in third, when i hit the gas pretty hard, i think its called wide open throttle( dont know exactly what that means).

mine does that too.
It drives me crazy. It seems like it is missing when you accelerate. It sort of feels like when you try to accelerate from 30 mph in 5th gear.
Although it happens at about 2500 rpms in 2nd and 3rd gears too.

Anyone have any advice?

Thanks

same thing happens w/me, i checked the plugs.. they seem to be ok, but i've heard it can be a couple of things.. like boost leak, plugs, wires, etc.

hey guys just an idea, i had this problem with my last car it was a camry but usually it would do it in all gears, but if this is it its an easy fix and cheap so i would try this first. check your fuel filters either take them out and replace them or put some good fuel/injector cleaner. My machanice uses this stuff that works really good i can get the name of it this week if you want it, just let me know.

Check your spark plug gap, and your spark plug wires. When your car is stuttering, always check them.

Exactually. I bet your car studders in first but its just not as noticible. Also try the fuel injector cleaner that was mentioned above. Boost leaks should be another one of your concerns.
