fuel pump check

ok i got the no spark problem solved (a wire was not connected ). now she trys to start but i cant tell if it is getting fuel. When we crank the car and even barely press the accelerator the motor shakes. i have took the gas cap off and listened to see if i hear the fuel pump and i cant hear anything. is there any way i can test the fuel pump and relays? btw it is a '91 eclipse n/t 1.8.

well, the 1.8's use such a small amount of fuel, thanks to their fuelconsumption/power output ratios..... j/k

um, if you have a repair manual they show a test with a volt meter to test the pumps electronics.
