Im driving my g/f car a 98gst and I look down and her oil pressure is almost dead. So i take to a shop and they looked under the car and the whole wheel cover was sprayed and ever suspension part on the driverside was coated they said it might be the crankshaft gasket do they go bad easily the car has 72000 miles so I called a performance shop near me and explained the story and they are trying to tell me it might be crankwalk I have never heard of a massive oil leak do to crankwalk the car fells fine no ticking (except the lifters of course) and its a AUTO. Has anyone had this happen if so what was it and how much to fix I checked my car a 98 gst STICK and it's doing the same thing just it dosent leak as fast im not losing oil like she is. Hers leaked 3qt in 30 min and im only usally a half qt low when I do a oil change. Im going to take the wheel cover off and see if I can find the leak cause all the other guy did was lift it up start it up and noticed oil leaking from the crank pulley area. Please any help would be great or ideas cause what ever it is I need it to and this is her only car to get from home to work.
Thanks AJ
P.S is this anysign of it walking and how hard is it to take the timeing belt cover off so i can really find where the leak is coming from thanks again.
