After doing a boost leak test, I fixed all of my leaks from the i/c piping. After that I pressurized the intake again and could hear air rushing out of the exhaust manifold. I know I have a stud missing, cracked gasket, and cracks in the manifold itself. I was just wondering if this would be why my idle is shitty, car is running rich and feels like timing is being pulled above 4500 rpms. If anyone knows whether this would be the problem or has had a similar experience and insight would be greatly appreciated.

so there's a good chance that's where my power is going to? Probably causing too much heat in the engine bay?

Yeah im completely aware of what boost leaks can do to your car, belive me. But, I was just wondering if a leaking, cracked manifold and gasket can cause the same symptoms as a loose intercooler pipe coupler.

just fix those Exaust leaks, Its has to be fixed. so fix it now! hehehee. Get a nice turbo manifold. Like the one that looks like the horns of a Ram.

Your refering to tubular headers :)

When I had my 14B on with my stock manifold, I had the worst case of boost spike and absolutely no top end. Besides the fact I had bad seals and my turbo was going, my stock mani had cracks from hell, and thats what was causing my spiking and lack of pull. Intake leaks and exhaust leaks feel different, but have the same effect, you lose power :(

Does anyone have the sizes of either of the two top bolts on the O2 sensor housing? I called the Chysler dealership and they didn't know what I was talking about, and Mitsu wasn't positive either. They said I need a lock washer and one side is a stud and one is a screw, but I need the sizes so I can pick something up at a hardware store.

Is anyone else wondering why he could hear air coming out of his exhaust mani if he pressurized the intake tract? I was under the impression that this could not happen.
