Well I had a ported out 14b for a while in my room that i bought used. I finally decided to install it the other day along with my gm maf. Well I made a really stupid mistake I forgot to connect the wastegate actuator vacum and also the boost control solenoid valve and when i started my car it started smoking alot. So then I saw I forgot to connect those 2 things and now that both are connected the car is still smoking. I took off my intake pipe to see if there was any shaftplay and there wasnt it seemed pretty actualyl to stiff. It seemed like the compresser wheel was just stuck to the side and not moving because when I tried spinning it would just stop and not move because it was hitting the side. Also during this whole time that I was trying to figure out the prob I saw that oil was comming out of my oil cap along the side. So I replaced the cap and it stopped but Im worried becuase last time it was doing that it was the oil rings and I ended up getting another engine and putting it in and this was only couple months ago so im hoping its not the engine just the turbo thatneeds to be replaced and the oil comming out was just the cause of the turbo.
. I could disconnect the wastegate actuator completly along with the boost control solenoid and a car would still run right at idle. There is no side effect from doing that either. Nothing to worry about!
