well i've been slowly and more oftenly noticing a small growing pudle underneath my car. now i have basically no experience with the 5speed trannies on these cars (mine's a 91 fwd turbo). i did notice there is what appears to be a small rubber vent thing towards the top of the bell housing. i think gear oil somehow could be getting sprayed out of there. also where do i check/add gear oil on these cars. i can't find my haynes manual and this is my first 5-speed as i said. there is a nice amount of wetness only on the half of the tranny closest to the motor. and it looks like it's running/blowing down the sides. if anybody can shine any light on this for me it'd be greatly apreciated.

to check the level look for a bolt on the tranny or transfercase that is about 11/16 in size and looks like it isnt holding anything on, its hard to explain, but basically you remove that bolt and see if any fluid drips out, if it doesnt you need to add more through that hole.
