Car stalling...WTF??

I have a 1990 Eagle Talon TSI FWD and ive been having this problem lately that my car has been stalling..Before all this started happening something in my computer went bad or fried that caused it to have no spark or fuel but it would turn over and everything...My dad is a mechanic so i didnt want to end up spending all this money on a computer since im gettin exhaust soon..He found a way to bypass this certain relay so that the car would run...and it did..i dont remember if that stalling issue was a problem b4 but its startin to piss me off now..I would come to a light and put the clutch in and it would sorta idle surge, it would go from 750-300-600-400-stall something like that but its starting to annoy me..What do you think the probem is?? Ill ask him what relay it is and tell u all later but whats the problem??I dont think its a boost leak bcuz there isnt a power loss or high pitched whistle while driving..Please help me...

it was a bad capicator probally its a easy fix bro done just rig somethin up on your dsm its like a gental woman you have to do everything just right to the girl ya get it??

I took the computer out and there werent any signs of things burned i smelled it and looked at it...nothin.....my dad said that it was a start/run relay??is there such a thing??.he says i have to clean the throttle body..is he right?!?! help me

You might want to check your "ISC" and see if it is bad.

I have the same idle problem. I replaced my capacitors in my ECU(which leaked) thinking that it would fix the bad idle problem, but it didn't. The reason my capacitors leaked is because my ISC is going bad. I still have to change out my ISC.

Until you get it fixed, try leaving your car in gear until around 2000rpms and see if it stalls...this is how I drive my car...if I am over 5000rpms and push in the clutch and begin to brake my tachometer will drop to 400rpms and then the car stalls.
