Is this normal on plug wires?

So I changed my plug wires a few months ago. When I pulled the old ones out, the top/cap came apart from the rest of the wire. The rest still sitting down on the spark plug. SO I got it all out with pliars and put my new ones in, but today when I pulled them out to change my valve cover, they broke apart again. Is this normal?

And did you assemble them onto the plug with a bit of dielectric silicone grease on the boots [no]. Get some and use it. Just a bit.

Also, find a boot puller that's a U-shaped piece of steel with a half-flange on the end that'll pull up on the bottom edge of the boot, and will fit into the plug well.

If they are stock wires, it happens sometimes. the plastic gets brittle and breaks easily. Get some better quality wires.

They were some advanced auto brand wires. I took the other ones back with the warranty and got some new ones with silicone . I used it. And they seem to work fine, but they are a little long, tool long to fit under the plug cover.

Some wires will be a little long, no biggie. Did you do any research before you bought them? I would suggest the accel thundersport wires. Some also like the Magnacore wires, but I feel they are a little too high and have not heard any god things about their customer service. On the other hand Accel has the least resistance and are cheaper.

And you don't just "pull up" on the plug wires to get them off, that's why they break.
You're supposed to twist the boot back & forth while pulling up at the same time.
