seems like i got a boost leak but ive checked it all. my voltmeter on the o2 sensor reads lean right when the studdering occurs and i can boost more than 10 psi but i just got it set at stock cause the bogging down at 8 psi. its only boost related so its not ignition but may be related to fuel or filter?? any ideas, btw it is a real boost gauge not the stock one and my idle is so ####ed i cant tell vac at idle

ok well it sounds alot like what happen to my car before the motor blew.how many miles are on the motor and if u can tell me a little bit more about what is all going on and i will give it a stab

i live in columbus, as far as the engine goes it was just rebuilt before i got it and i had the head off two weeks ago and it looked great but i wouldnt be surprized cause this car has been a total lemon since ive owned it. this is my first dsm exerience and it sucks it had to be like this. it would be cool to meet with someone to get some feedback on my car.

i was wondering if it could be a boost leak cause i can boost more than 7-8 but it bogs down. could it be i need to adjust my CAS cause i had it off when doing the head gasket. also i dont have a couple bucks to rule this out this week but my fuel filter might be plugged up. If i had a boost leak wouldnt i get i rich reading on the voltmeter. hope this helps thanks for any help

Boost leak would cause it to go RICH. The pressure is leaking out, same fuel is being put in - therefore, the mixture would be RICH. How is the condition of your fuel pump? Or your injectors?

fuel pump is a walbro and should be fairly new but i dont trust anything i didnt put in myself, i swapped injectors last weak and i had the prob before and after so that aint it

A plugged fuel filter might do it. It would have to be really plugged though. Umm... don't really know what else to say.

it feels like a boost leak more more it seems like something else. it runs a good mixture via the voltmeter right up to about 7-8 psi after that it boggs and i get a low reading. the sad thing is this car has never ran right and at this point if it does i am probably going to sell it.

i know how you feel i bought my dsm and it was a total lemon, do this take the fuel line that is runnig from the fuel filter to the fuel rail off.when you do that you should have alot of fuel that will spill out.if none spills it is your filter.i and like 30min from colubus we could meet and i could take a look at it if you want.i had alot of the same problems with mine.you also may want to check vac lines near the turbo.

when i did my injectors two weeks ago i took that line off and alot of fuel came out, but im not sure if it was from the line or the rail, either way i think means the the filter isnt too clogged. that would be great to meet up with ya about it but real busy for the next few days but thanks for the help

well than it is not the filter you might have low compression in one of the cylinders i would now try a copression test that would be the last thing i can thinkl of now.but good luck and give the compression test a try.keeps us informed
