Resolved 2GNT Bad ECU?

I am trying to trouble my starting problems. I get in the car today and it smells like a dirty whore house I took the ecu out and it smells bad.

Before taking it out I check the power getting to the efi relay and there was no voltage reading. My question is, would a bad ecu cause the efi relay not to get any power. I also check the Fuel Pump connector and no voltage there as well

I am having the similiar problem with my 95 gs. it is an intermitentent (sp?) probleem because it starts and runs fine sometimes but the other times it starts and then dies while i am going down the road or sometimes it runs perfectly. I have done some analyising of my own and have come to figure out that something (the ecu) is cutting off fuel and spark to my motor. my question is could something be telling the computer to shut everything down or is the computer bad? Please help I want to drive my car!!!

If the ecu smells like rotten ass, you can bet it's taken a dump, especially on a 1G. Hit up dsmtrader or foreign ecu repair for a replacement if it's beyond cap replacement. DSMTrader might get you a TMO ECU, which is very nice

For 2Gs, failing ECUs are not supposed to be common. Most common problems of stalling would be clogged fuel filter, failing fuel pump, or vacuum leaks. Possibly also fuel pressure solenoid or ignition system. Ignition system and pretty much everything else should throw a code.

Well I fonally broke down and took it to the dealer ...and it was a bad ecu. runs great now
