[STL91GST]

Whats up,,i know someone will say "search the forums you idiot and stop putting threads, but to you i say it sucks i cant find the info"


i have a '91 GST and i took out my Engine Head today and in the #1 Piston Spot,,,where the valves are theres 4 little round things that come from above and two of the white ones broke off....so here is my questions,,,,,,

1) Can i send this to be rectified?

2) Can i put a N/T Head on this car?

3) Where can i find a new head?

any other options? thank you for your help or critizies

1st of all what do you mean by white ones? What exactly are you refering to?Is it the valve stem seals? And 2nd yes you can put a n/t head on a turbo block the heads are the same you can find them at a auto salvage lot but be carefull and choose a decent one, don't just grab the 1st one you find unless it is good.

Are you sure that I can put a Non Turbo Engine on a Turbo Block? that seems weird......



ok when you take he engine head up and off ad then turn it upside down u see in each whole 4 little circulour cylinders..and i the #1 spot from left to right there is 2 missing which i found on the piston.....whats this mean?

does it have to be off a 5spd non turbo since my car is a 5spd??

I'm guessing you mean the valves when you say 4 small round things. If you found two of these on top of your piston, well then that means you broke two valves. That's not good! If you plan on using this head again you'll need to confirm that all the remaining valves are good, and replace the bad ones. And the answer is still yes on the cylinder head swap as long as both of the heads are from a 2.0.
