I have my brake and battery lights on, on my dash board even after the car is started and my e-brake is taken off. They both seem to go away after about 5 minutes of driving, and hten only when i am idlng at about 1krpm's. They both happened the other day when the hose in the back on my valve cover (that goes to the intake manifold)came loose. The battery is totally charged and the engine is running well again. But the two lights will not go off

If you know or have any ideas please help.:thumb:

Unless there is a wiring harness problem or instrument cluster problem then I think the problems are unrelated and simply happen at the same time.

I would recomend removing the brake fluid resevior cap, check the position of the brake resevior cap seal. Check out this thread:

As for the battery light if it comes on it will frequently give diagnostic trouble codes that can be retrieved with a scan tool. Sometimes the condition will turn on the Check Engine light but some will not. Run by a parts store and get them to pull the codes and check the brake resevior cap.
