half moon rubber peice called?

need help with a discription.. when taking off the valve cover look at the engine from the front...what is that half moon rubber piece called that is between the valve cover and the head where right behind in front of the cam.....front left hand side...there is a whole round piece on the otherside on the other cam.

Yeh must be a shady brand you got man, cause they usually do come with the valve cover gasket. I got mine from Auto Zone, whatever brand they sell,. Anyhow just spend ten more bux and get it a AZ or if not one around just go to a few places and check inside the boxes before you buy it.
