No CEL visible (NEVER)

Hey guys and gals

Some one told me that the CEL is supposed to come on when you initially start the car and then after a few seconds it should shut off. Is this true? B/C my car doesn't have signs of a CEL after start up. Any help appreciated, thanx....

There is one of 2 reasons why that would happen. Either the bulb is burnt out. Or, your ECU is damaged.

left lower corner of gauge cluster by boost gauge

Or, someone else got tired of looking at the CEL, and yanked the bulb.
