Greddy EGT quit working

My greddy isnt working anymore. It was doing just fine yesterday. Anywho the needle is maxed out, a little passed the 12. Even when there is no power on it. When power is on, the needle just moves a little, but in the wrong direction (it goes more past the 12). I know the wiring is good. Is the gauge broke or my probe messed up??

-I'm not sure about the max out to 12, mine was jumping erracticly when the probe go bad, one of the online place sell a cheaper replacement instead of the original GReddy one, I can't think of the name now, will let you know once I found it.

how do i check to see that my probe is still working??

-I test with a meter to make sure the harness is good and have good ground, I then have some one to watch the gauge while mess with the probe, found that the section where the flex cable end and the actual probe begine is shorting out. I replace it with another GReddy, TRE has none GReddy replacement that work.

Oh that happened to me yes2day too. I replaced my battery terminal but i had a crappy battery, when I tried to start the it went up to pass 12 and stuck there.(couldn't didn't start
after i put a new battery (optima ) in and drove around a bit, I noticed it start back workin fine.
