:dsm: I am think of getting a dsmlink :D but I don't that much about it. I have a few question. First of all I have a 97 eclipse do I need the eprom with it or can I use a 95 ecu. If so do the wire line up or I have to rewire some of the wire. If so which one. The last thing is I know is better to take your car to a dyno and tuner it right but I am short of cash and can I tuner it myself?:dsm::

You have a lot of reading to do. If I were you, I would learn how to tune the AFC first before you get DSMlink. You will learn a lot from the SAFC. Like the saying goes, you have to learn how to crawl before you learn how to walk. Good luck.

I agree with what 96mitsugsx said, but will answer some of the other questions. No, you don't need to change any of the wiring, all of the plugs will match up. But yes, you will need a '95 eprom ecu. You can really mess your car up with link if you don't pay attention to what you are doing. Read, read, read. When you think you got it figured out, read some more... and ask questions. Don't be afraid to look stupid. It's inevitable, if you ask a "newb" question, someone is gonna flame you. Let it slide, and weed out the useful info. If you do get link, you'll get access to the link forums, all those guys are uber helpful.

I wouldn't/didn't waste the money on a SAFC. Go straight for DSMlink if you're even considering it, you'll thank yourself later. Yes you can tune it yourself, you will learn a great deal, and I would actually suggest it, after some researching that is.

This is WHY YOU NEED A GOAL. If you set up a goal for yourself, you'll research and find out what you need to run at that. I, myself, knew I wanted at least 400 to the wheels. With that said, I started planning what I needed. I instantly knew SAFC wouldn't be enough and an AEM EMS is overkill. So I went with DSMLink. Simple.

If you get a wideband, Link, and maybe a GM bar sensor (I personally don't think it's needed since I run an AVCR) you can tune the car yourself. However, dyno time will let you know where you stand and give you an idea of how much more you can go. If you built your car for 500 and is only at 350, you'll know you can go even higher.

You said that you are short on cash right? You can find a used SAFC for $150 or less. Link will cost you $500+. At least with the SAFC you can still use your stock ecu. You don't need to buy an eprom ecu which will cost you another $100 or more. If I were you, I would maximize the potential of the stock set up that you have right now. Go read the upgrade paths that RRE, Buschur and DSMtuners recommend. Do the stage 1 first before even thinking about using link. Try to minimize the different sets of variables that you have to deal with. Don't confuse yourself. Start with the bolt-ons first like intake, exhaust, gauges, etc. Those alone will already cost you around $1000. Don't forget.... Maintenance First!!!

:dsm:It is what I put in to the car so far. I have a 7 bolt do up with eagle rotating assemblies and yes I know about the crank walk. But at that time I could not find a 6 bolt any where beside pay over $1,000 for it. I also got 1g head on it with manley valves spring and retainer with a 20g graddy turbo so I did alot of work to this engine and I want to make sure this engine run fine and if I have to get the dsmlinkm, I will but I don't have the money to tuner it that why I ask about "tuning yourself." ALL this product that I got was cheat to me ### I work in a after market warehouse. I am try to get the car runing by the end of next week!!! I also have autometer pyromater, air/fuel windband, boost/vacuum and I also could get innovate lm2 and everything I need for it :thumb:
