i've started a couple of threads regarding my taillight short problem.
and my top suspect seems to be the dimmer switch. i was driving home from work just now and i knew that i was going to blow the taillight fuse after turning on the headlight but i said what the heck, ill turn the dimmer switch down and bam! the fuse never blew on the way home
. so as soon as i got home, i got myself a backup relay/fuse and do a test. i turned up the dimmer switch to full and drove about a mile. not surprisingly, the fuse blew as soon as i started rolling. so i replaced the fuse and the relay and turned down the dimmer switch all the way down. lights stay on like its got no problemsWTF
what would be the problem in my dimmer switch? its too dark outside and my interior light fuse started blowing about 3 months ago(dsms with their electrical nightmares
))
im guessing a short but i have no clue. and i dont know if you can ground the dimmer switch at all.. any ideas?? help me out electrical gurus!
