Hey watz up guys? I just installed a 50 trim t3/t4 on my girlfriend car. I got a custom o2 housing made and it doesnt reach my downpipe. The turbo is brand new and doesnt spool until 5k and there is no major boost leaks. The car spooled up fine with the 16g but the downpipe was connected . Would me not having a downpipe and not having back pressure cause the turbo to not spool the way it should? I really need some advice caz I spend alot of money on this turbo, tial wastegate and manifold and the car just runs 10x better with a 16g.

Having no downpipe will make the turbo spool quicker. Perhaps the lack of downpipe is causing the kncok sensor to go off and the ecu is retarding timing. Do you have a way to check knock? Where exactly does the o2 housing end? Are you sure you installed everything correctly and didn't miss something simple? Is the boost gauge reading any boost? Internal or external wastegate? What pressure did you do the boost leak test to? Did you use soapy water for the boost leak test?

I have no way to check to knock as of now. The o2 housing ends to the right of the downpipe not connecting. I doubt I missed anythin because its doin the same thing it did on my car. How ever it is external wastegate and my 16g was internal. Maybe it has somethin to go with the wastegate because thats the only thing I can think of that will mess up the boost but I check the wastegate and it opens at 10psi. I did the test to 20psi the vac is at -18. I have the 5bolt flange over the hole on the exhaust side of the turbo so it shouldnt be that.

Are you using the top or bottom port on the wastegate? Does the boost gauge read anything?

with no downpipe wouldn't boost creep come in too play, or would the external waste gate take car of it?

The external wastegate should take care of that. The only time I have seen boost creep with an external gate is if it was one the o2 housing and they didn't port the wastegate passage.
