Startup Problem

[TMCRacing]

Looking for help. 90 turbo eclipse. Car will turn over fire, run rough for a few seconds and die. The next try will start, run rough for a few seconds, clean up and idle fine. This happens every time after the car sits for a time. On a hot restart no problems. Out door temperature makes no difference.

The car does have a cracked exhaust manifold. This is the only problem. Car runs fine otherwise. No fault codes.

I have the same problem now, when i push gas pedal its help to start. I guess its my ISC or my MAF, look at that.

when you start it, let full open the TB plate, if its make a difference, i guess its a not enough air problem.

Im gona repair that next week, now my car is sit since october

whens the last time you changed your plugs?

I replaced them when i had the problem. No change

Except starting problem, when the car is started, no problem, car run great.

Have you checked the connections on your water temp sensor? If they are loose/off or the sensor is bad that could be the cause of your problem.

sorry my other reply was intended for TMCRACING but as far as your problem have you done a boost leak tast lately? I only ask because a bad gasket at your throtle body will cause a start up and die condition similar to what you described.. might not be the answer but i would start there.

which gasket are you refering too? as im having a issue very very similiar to this but i have done a boost leak test and got good results other than my BOV leaking past 18psi

My test is good too, its not due to a boost leak problem.

my friends car did this before. it was the check valve in the fuel line. when you start your car it uses existing fuel pressure from the last running time. if the check valve goes bad the fuel pressure will be bad and the fuel will go back into the tank.

Where is this check valve? ill look at this
