I am getting an awful grinding sound when I try to start my car. The car has been sitting for a couple months but before that it started fine. Ive searched the forums and narrowed my problem either the starter or flywheel. The flywheel's teeth are looking a bit rough so I know there is an engagement problem. I had the starter tested and it passed.

Here is my question: is there anything I can do or check before I pull the tranny to check the flywheel? Any help or insight that would save me time/headache would be appreciated. Thanks! :thumb:
