motor or trans problem?

K I have 97 eagle talon tsi awd we put the evo motor in almost a month ago has less then 40thousand k on it car ran great for a month or so up untill we got snow we went to move the car and we herd a noise from the motor or trans not sure we noticed that the crank pully split in two parts it broke where the rubber is between the center and the out side where the belts ride. No there is a nocking noise coming from the motor or trans i noticed that when the cluch is deprest the noise changes and sometimes goes away and when the cluch is released the noise is back what could this be? I am hoping it has nothing to do with crankwalk or anything. Thanks
