ELECTRICAL EXPERT HELP NEEDED
Ok, I officially have reached the biggest 'WTF' of my entire build. This has happened to me before, but I never really thought too much about it, and now I am completely stumped!
I was working on my car again today, and I decided that to be productive, I should try hooking up the logger again and seeing what codes come up with my MAF hooked up.
Well, I couldn't get the logger to connect (Serial comm Error) which was odd, but I did notice that my previous largest problem was back, and this time worse!
After turning the key to the on position, this horrible clicking and sparking sound happens repitively. I immediately thought, "WTF is this all about?"
Just like last time this happened, my Karmann readings on my SAFC started going nuts! The numbers were bouncing around from 3hz to 500hz and going insane. Everytime the numbers bounced, the clicking sound would start from the center console, and the sparking sound would come from the engine bay. Also, the clicking sound was loud by the fuel pump.
I started to look around my car and diagnose the sound. After touching the MPI relay, I realized that it was the cause of my obnoxious clicking. It was literally clicking and shaking compulsively. After that, I went into the engine bay and tried to hear the other sound. I noticed it was coming from the area where I had the coilpack hooked up (spark plug wires not connected yet)
Right after I put my hand on the coilpack, a blue flame/spark shot straight out ! "WTF" I thought again.
Ok, unless my car is truly possessed, do any experts want to try and help diagnose this issue. Things like this make me want to stay the #### away from the car!
