Hi, I just recently installed my FMIC kit, Walbro 190, 680's, 3'' GM Maf, and Maf-T. The car fired right up with the base MAF-T settings and drove fine for 2 days of tuning. Then the next day I was just driving down the road, turned my radio on and the car died and nothing happens when you turn the key now. The power windows wont roll up, the radio won't turn on, doesn't crank or click or anything when you turn the key. The only things that work on the car now are the headlights, the door chime, and the door ajar light on the instrument panel.

I have charged the battery (which is less than a year old), tested the starter, pulled the ECU (no leaks or damage to board) and checked all the wiring on my MAF-T and SAF-C and everything seems fine. I've checked all the fuses and battery cables and terminals. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. -John

Well, open the cover first, then look at them and make sure the metal connector that can be seen under the clear plastic is not burned. They are basically big fuses. I am willing to bet the alternator link, which is the black one, has died on you. They can be bought at Autozone for cheap, just take the bad one in so you know you got the right link.

Alright I did check all these when it left me on the side of the road but upon further inspection the 30a fusable link on the far left of the 3 fuse panel on the pos. battery terminal was blown. I swapped it with the middle 30a one and now I have electricity again but when I try to start I get a couple cranks and then a loud grinding noise. The car died on me about a week before this last time and the same thing happened when I tried to start it. Thinking it was my starter going out I pulled it out and took it to Autozone and it tested Good. I put it back in and the same grinding noise. I determined the fuel pump wasn't getting power so I pulled it back out checked the wiring and seeing nothing wrong I put it back in and it started right up. Now I don't hear the fuel pump coming on again. I don't understand how no fuel would make the grinding noise but it fixed the problem last time. I'm not sure what to do, is it possible I just need to rewire the fuel pump? The fuse blew the second I turned my stereo on so maybe my amp and subs are trying to draw too much power. Not sure what to do. Thanks

I bet your power windows are going up and down real slow. It sounds like your battery is dead or dying. The reason the fuse blown is most likely due to the subs and amp. Try jumping the car or charging the battery.
