I have a 96 gsx with a recently done 6 bolt swap, the car was expectedly misfiring in the beginning without link, but not very often. Now that i put link in my car it seemed to be running better than all of a sudden after driving the car for about 15 minutes it pulls a check engine light and starts to misfire, but i can turn the car off while still driving and the problem stops, but will resume about 5 minutes later. I am confused because my brother and i put a 6 bolt in his 97gst and roughly the same setup but no misfire. Any suggestions on how to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Are you getting a CEL when the sputtering starts? I was getting something like this a while back and was getting an error something like . . . extended time to enter closed loop mode . . .

Only way to fix it was to pull the ground on the battery, then reconnect (didn't have laptop in the car at the time). Do a search on the DSMLink forums and you should come up with a few posts detailing it.

my 93 talon non turbo is burnin alot of gas have no idea what it could be what do u think may be the problem...i get about 67 miles on a full tank off gas

Yea a check engine light shows up the instant it beings misfiring, its very selective sometimes i have no troubles with it, and other times it happens every two or so minutes.

Go into the ECU/Logfile menu on Link. Click DTC's, in there should be a line that says something along the lines of "Check for misfire" uncheck the box next to that. Problem solved.
