Hub movement & wheel wobble

Last year I saw that was rear driverside wheel was wobbeling like crazy. I first tightened up the lug nuts, that solved nothing. I then took it to a tire balancing shop to ask them to look at it. The wheel was balanced AND STRAIGHT!:mad: So... I then thought that the bushing in the trailing arm was funched. Therefore the "active" toe in toe out was just flopping in the wind. So I tracked down a used trailing arm, installed it. Low en behold, the wheel still wobbels. But now, with the brakes fully applied, the hub can still move forward and back a tiny bit.(forward and back meaning it moves the direction of travel when the car is rolling forward.) So with this tiny but of movement, when you put a 17'' wheel on, that play turns into an eight of an inch. What im thinking is that when the wheel was wobbeling, it ground down the inside diameter of the brake disc stupd holes enough that the hub can move a little bit. Perhaps the disc isn't flat where the wheel sits? That could be one possibility. Sorry if I confused anyone, im just super angry.

If you have any idea's to solve this wheel wobbeling, or hub freeplay. Let me know.
 
Yep I'd say the hub as well. I've replaced the left rear last year, then the left front this year and guess what,,,,,,, now the right rear is doing it.

Keep in mind when you get prices you will find a replacement for around $35.00 to $50.00 and $120.00 to $150.00,"depending if it's front or rear".
The lesser price is just for the bearing, then more expensive price is for the whole hub.

Unless you have access to a press it's ALLOT easier to spend the extra for the whole hub and not just the bearing.

I just clicked on the ebay link in the above post and if that's for the whole hub assembly then thats a great price.
I had done a search here in DSM when I was replacing mine and there is allot of discussions about the quality of aftermarket hubs, I did not see who makes that hub in the ebay listing so I don't know who makes that one, but for the price it's still a good deal.
 
I bought the entire hub assembly from NAPA today. Will I need a press to get this sucker in, or is it that 27mm nut on the backside of the unit all I need?
(left my haynes manual with my car, so I have no idea)

Thats the same manual I have! Thanks alot for posting it though. So essentially im just going to remove the self locking nut with the brake caliper still on(brakes applied), so I dont have to find that "special tool" get a slide hammer, pull the entire assembly out, put the new one back in! Simple as that
