from what i checked so far i dont think im getting any spark. i checked the ignition coil and its still in working condition and i also checked all the wires and sensors and they seem good too.
i have no idea where to go from here if anyone has and ideas of what it might Be please let me know.

i checked all the fuses and there all good. i did arc the plugs on the engine and there wasnt any spark. when i try to start the car it sounds like its trying to turn over but doesnt and it doesnt make and noises so...i have no clue what to check now or anything

battery voltage?
1. check firing order
2. can you hear the fuel pump ?
3. check test coils
have you been messing with anything lately?rephrase.. what is the last thing you did before this started happenig

okay the car isnt getting any spark i checked the firing order and its good, and i tested the coil and its good. i haven't been messing with the car lately and i dont remember the last think i did to it...i was pulling into a parking spot and my car just shut off, and it wont start now

Check your battery terminals. Sometimes the ground will get enough corrosion on it to loose the connection. Do you lights work? Is the starter turning the engine over? Check to make sure you cam and crank angle sensor plugs didn't come loose.

I'm not saying that your problem was mine, but here is a link through what i went to. I think the easiest way is to hook a datalogger to your OBDII port and see if you are getting a signal from all your sensors like your crank/cam position sensors. On the 95 they have 2. Hopefully that helps, but i spent a summer figuring this problem. :notgood:

I passed through all of this and after changing the ecu, cas, pwr transistor the car was ready to fire but it didn't. The cause a loose cable in the ecu, check that all your connections are ok, also my car for some reason when the motor shakes the tps becomes loose all i'm sayin is chek for the simplest things like loose broken or damaged wires. Hope you can solve this.

Also to check for spark you can take off the cam sensor (take it off but don't disconnect it) and take off one of the spark plugs, put the key in "on" and with the sensor touching ground turn it over a few times and it should have a spark. Did you ckecked the compression?

i checked the the ground and it seems to be fine...my lights work and the starter is trying to turn over but it doesnt start. i checked the sensors and from what i saw they looked all good

Unless he has a 6 bolt swap or a 97-99 and up eclipse he doesn't have a cam sensor on the left side of the engine. His cam sensor is under his cam sprocket because he has a 95-96 eclipse and his crank sensor is underneath the harmonic balancer.

ok i usume by now you have check every fuse in the car ?
under the dash , by the battery on the battery pos terminal and the top left box under the hood
did you test your coils? check the harnesses for pwr transistor and all other make sure theryr not vent ( the male ones) i done that before i couldnt get it the hole LOL

New to the forum.. I'm also having the same issue (reason i joined). I bought a 95 Talon TSI about 2 months ago it needed a new transmission and the battery was also sort of old. I replaced it with a rebuilt transmission just recently got the car back over the weekend. I replaced the battery and starter. and the car won't turn over. i check the fuse in the engine bay and it seems ok. When i try to start the car it sounds like the the starter is making a clicking noice like it wants to turn over. When i bought the car about a month and a half ago the car started no problem it just had a bad transismission and some other minor things needed changing.

the car has no alarm it's completly stock... I can do a push start on the car, I can jump start the car, but it won't start on it's own.

Didn't want to make a new thread since the original thread starter and I have similar issue... reading the rules... Going to go purchase clutch start switch see if that fixes issue.

^^^Learn to edit posts^^^ you can edit your post and add new infomation. It helps with keeping a clean and formal thread. Instead of a mess of words spread over mulitple posts.

Back to the thread at hand. You'll need a multimeter to test your sensors. You won't be able to visually tell if their bad or not. Ignition problems are not fun to diagnose.

Before going and getting a new clutch switch. How would a faulty clutch switch cause no spark? The clutch switch just interupts the signal to the starter if the clutch isn't depressed.

I purchased Clutch Start Switch and it did solve the problem. The switch that was in there was burned. The only thing is that i can start the car without my foot on the clutch kind of scary but according to a thread i saw on here it eliminates crankwalk or reduces the chances of crankwalk. Eitherway i got the car started.
