Ok so ive read all threads on related topics, but havent found one that matches mine.

so i bought my brother a 2g w/ a 6bolt swap, it started up and ran but had rod knock, so i replaced the motor w/ another 6bolt, the first time we tried to start the new motor, something shorted out and the 100amp alt fuse blew so we threw in another and the car fired up.

while test driving it the lights and gauges dimmed, so i swapped in another alternator i knew was good, it ran fine for 1 day. the next day i turned the car off to get gas and the battery was dead.

so i just had it jump started and it ran fine, just dim lights. i went to autozone and bought a new battery, everything was perfect

the cars been sitting for 2 nights, i went to start it tonight it started up, 30 mins later i went to move the car and the battery was dead again,

now heres the thing, the car runs when jumped, so i figure the alternator is making power, and runs wout any of the battery terminals connected, but its not charging the battery i guess.

any ideas would be appreciated guys

I had the o ring in my power steering pump fail and leak fluid over the alternator killing it. Check to see if u have power steering fluid.

Make sure the 80A alternator fuse is not blown. Mine was blown and the car ran fine, but the battery was not charged and the power door locks did not work when the car was off. Just a thought.

Edit: I just reread your post... I see you have a 100A fuse for the alternator. Mine is only an 80A. just make sure you are not blowing that fuse.

Check the B+ terminal connector for it being a little bent. If so, it can cause a drop in voltage and cause your lights to dim. If this is the case then its preventing the alternators output.

Hope this helps
