spark plugs

I was driving down the street made a slow right hand turn and punched in 1st gear went in to 2nd. My car made a little noise but wouldnt go anywhere like i was runnung of off 2 pistons. i thought it could have been the timing belt jumping but not sure. So today i pull the timing belt cover off to check if all the marks line up everything was good. When i pulled the spak plugs out 2nd and 3rd plugs where gaped at about .010. I just gaped and cleaned my plugs 2 days ago at .028 and they where perfect. maybe this is a dumb question but just looking for another answer why my 2 & 3 plugs are pushed in other then timing belt jumping.

Because something got into your cylinders and damaged the spark plugs. Or your piston hit it, but it would have made more than "a little noise" when the rod (or cap, wrist pin, whatever) broke.

Your timing will not affect you plugs no matter how much its off. Are you certain you have the correct plugs? NGK BPR8ES is what I have in now. The 6 or 7s will also work.

I'm assuming you're running 25+ psi?

I don't get this recent trend to rush out to get super cold plugs. I have 8.5 comp running 16psi and i'm still on 6's. I don't get where people think they need to use 7's or 8's on a stock car.
