fmic idle problems

ive searced this problem i have i just took my fmic of my 1st gen and swapped ot to my friends stock first gen and now his car idels high and where can he get a good slim fan for cheap ?

Start by doing a boost leak test.

I am going thro the exact same thing i just got my fmic installed and now my idle is everywear mine stalls when ever it comes down from 5000 rpms tho but i found this forum, i dono if youv seen it or not but im gana go try it

Check out the BISS screw adjustment it the VFAQ.

You mean finish it by doing a BOOST LEAK TEST!!!

well i have fixed the idle problem had to take the oem fan off put a slim fan in and is now over heating i took the thermostat out cooling system i still building up pressure i think it has a blocked or clogged radiator any ideas?

An "old wiseman" (pun intended) once said that the install of a portion of the intake is not complete until a boost leak test has been done.

But I forget who it was.

Did overheating only started after the fan swap? Both fans? What size fan? Puller (pulling air into the engine bay) fan mounted on the engine side of the radiator? Any gaps between the fan and radiator fins? How is it wired?

Did you do that BOOST LEAK TEST?

yes boost leak test went fine! when i had installed all this on my car everything was perfect and now on this laser its having problems. the fan is probably 12 to 14 inch i can't remember and its pulling the air! i took the thermostat out to see it still builds pressure and it did and I'm thinking maybe a clogged radiator do u guys agree?
