2g burning oil

ok, i have a 97 tsi fwd with 135000 on it..i checked the oil the other day and noticed that it was right around that bottom notch on the dipstick. Somehow im losing oil, not a lot, like maybe between and quarter and half a quart every 2500 miles. Its not blowing blue smoke or anything either, just wondering what you guys might think..just old age? thanks again

so no leaks anywhere? Any sepage anywhere? How about valve cover gasket, oil pan gasket, crank seal? I'm sure with age you will burn a slight bit of oil without noticing anything big, but it's gotta be goin somewhere.

nope, no leaks...has a new valve cover gasket and i checked everything else..i figured that its probably just burning a little every now and then, so i thought id check if anyone else heard of it
