Very Choppy Idle/Stalling Issues...

The car is a 1992 Galant Vr-4, motor has about 120k on the clock, car has about 190k (no rust though!)

I picked it up for real cheap b/c it needed some work. So it starts, barely, it usually cranks over, stalls a few times, then starts up, but it is VERY choppy. And to get it to start, I usually need to put the gas pedal to the floor. Sounds like it may be missing. And it idles unusually rich as well. When it was running before it was sputtering pretty badly under acceleration but it drove okay around town.

So once its not like -50 degrees outside I have a new coilpack/plugs/wires to go on. I'm hoping that smooths out the rough starts a little bit. But if it doesnt, what do you guys think?

-o2 sensors then maf; in that order? something else?

Boost leak test first my man. Could be a cracked coupling, hole in the intercooler etc. Then ignition, MAF, o2....

I'm about 95% positive its your coil. Pull your plugs if some are wet and the others are sooty....COIL! Is it throwing a code?
Thats the EXACT thing I had to do to get my new project running. Down to a T. Had to floor it til it warmed up then ran reeeeaallly choppy. Felt like I was pulling a train when I tried to boost it. Turns out one bank of my coil wasn't firing. I pulled the middle plugs and they were still clean. Pulled a coil/ignition code. 44 to be exact.

Yea I dont think it is pulling a code, but 1gcrazy your car sounds like it is the same as what my vr-4 is doing. I have a new coil/plugs/wires so I will start there first.
